James Durbin Reveals Wedding Details

Season 10 Idol, James Durbin dishes on his upcoming wedding to Heidi Lowe with People Magazine.

“I’m so, so in love. It’s going to be a very small wedding,” James tells People of the ceremony, set for later this year, ” We’re only inviting about 85 people.”

“We’re going cheap. We’re not doing a full-on Hollywood lavish wedding. We’re getting married in the boondock mountains at a community hall. We rented out a tiny tiny little chapel, all exposed red wood. It’s nothing super fancy.”

The couple’s son Hunter, 2, will be the ring bearer. And fellow Idol alums Stefano Langone and Paul McDonald will be his best man and groomsman.

The guys, says James, are still trying to figure out what to wear, but the rest of the planning is pretty much done.

“It’s going great,” he says. “We got our decorations and everything set. We got the cake squared away, and she’s got her dress.”

“It’s a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll,” James says of the theme, ” She’s a cowgirl, and I’m a rock star. Some of the decorations will be cowboy boots.”

“You might find me singing,” James reveals to People, ” There are a couple of songs I used to sing to Heidi. ‘Faithfully’ by Journey and ‘One More Try’ by George Michael. And she always loves it when I sing ‘Take Hold of the Flame’ by Queensryche, so we may have to throw that in there as well.”

James debut album, Memories of a Beautiful Disaster drops on November 21. The music video for his pop single, “Love Me Bad” will be released to Vevo on November 16.  He’s currently working on another video for his rock single, “Stand Up” with director, Todd Weisman.
