Watch the trailer for the documentary on Tourette Syndrome that features American Idol Season 10 alum, James Durbin. The film focuses on Ariel Small, a suburban Chicago teen who struggles with the uncontrollable tics caused by Tourettes.
In the clip, Ariel meets James who, as most of you know, also battles the syndrome. James serves as an inspiration to Ariel, helping the young teen realize that anything is possible.
In the clip, James tells Ariel, that he thought for awhile that the disorder would derail his dreams, but, “There’s no telling what you can do. I just got off a show that week after week I was performing for 30 thousand people…different is the new normal.”
The film debuts on Friday, September 15, 8 pm on New York’s public station, WNET 13.
