More than halfway through season one of the new FOX singing competition, The Four, and the ratings are holding steady. Additionally, compared the rest of the FOX schedule, it’s fair to say the show will like be renewed for a second season.
The fourth week (Jan 25) of The Four’s six week run garnered a 1.2 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo, steady with previous weeks. Here’s how the numbers shake out so far:

Jan 4 – Week 1 – 1.2 – 3.75M
Jan 11 – Week 2 – 1.1 – 3.29M
Jan 18 – Week 3 – 1.1 – 3.47M
Jan 25 – Week 4 – 1.2 – 3.64M (Preliminary)
True–it comes in 3rd and 4th in its time slot every week, but the numbers are still good enough for FOX to consider for a renewal.
CBS aired its own talent competition last night. MVP: Most Valuable Performer featured football players showing off their various talents for live viewer votes. American Idol alum Katharine McPhee judged the talent while America’s Got Talent and X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne “mentored” the talent. The special paled in comparison to show it pre-empted–The Big Bang Theory. (Last week, BBT won the night as it usually does, with a 2.9 rating)
