Idol Carrie Underwood sold out 17,815 seats in Madison Square Gardens and also filled the Xcel Energy Centre in St. Paul. Opening for her were Voicers The Swon Brothers. Over on the X-Factor, Bea Miller was opening for Selena Gomez in Toronto and the Air Canada Centre was full
Also reporting this week are some of the big festivals. Coachella sold-out almost 200K of tickets for $94M in gross revenue. Stagecoach (while Coachella is Alt and Rockfish, Stagecoach is Country – surprise!) sold 72K tickets for $25M and the Govenor’s ball (Rock/Urban) sold 143K tickets for $15.8M. In Canada, the Osheaga festival hosted 137K and earned $10.7M in ticket revenue.
