One report this week, from the Ariana Grande Dangerous Woman Tour. Little Mix was an opener for that tour in the North American leg and this concert was in Houston on April 8th.
Billboard has an article about female success in music lately. They note that it took 31 weeks after Lady Gaga’s “Jolene” was number one in November for another woman to top the BB200 (Hasley). No woman has topped the Hot 100 for 32 weeks (Hasley featured The Chainsmoker’s “Closer”). The last time a female soloed on the top of the Hot 100? Adele with “Hello” in early 2016. BB theorizes on the topic. Reality competition singers Carly Rae Jepsen, Fifth Harmony and Camila Cabello get mentioned.
