Michael Slezak and Kristen Baldwin of Entertainment Weekly weigh in on the Danny Gokey controversy in this week’s episode of Idolatry.
Let’s just say I’m 100% in the Slezak camp. I was willing to give Danny the benefit of the doubt during the highly edited initial rounds, but once the live shows began–and particularly when Danny’s brother-in-law flashed that picture–I was turned off. It doesn’t help that he’s being pimped by the judges for above-average performances.
