Taste of Country reports that Carrie Underwood has her best-selling first week for a single. “Something in the Water” is the lead-off single from ‘Greatest Hits: Decade #1′ album due out Dec 9th. It sold 125K. It also set a Mediabase record for Country with 144 adds on its impact date.
Voice Coach Blake Shelton has the best selling album at around 101K down from 199K for his last album. Lady A is second followed by Babs. Prince has two albums in the top 10. He’s Prince. Pentatonix and Jennifer Hudson are top 40 in their second weeks. Pentatonix is still selling better, but they had the larger drop at 81% (the market is not kind to EPs) while JHud’s are a more respectable 62% (in a world where second week drops are more typically 70%).
