April can be a very dull month for the Idol numbers watchers. They tend to be plagued by sagging sales. Partly because November is now a long time ago and partly because it’s the switch over of singles. Daughtry needs a new one. Kris needs a new one. Carrie needs a new one. Adam needs a new one. Kellie, Kelly and Bucky are just releasing their new ones. A big old changing of the songs.
To top it all off, our traditional numbers leaker is too busy at work and our rounded number publisher is too busy covering the new season (which is his actual job, so he’s busy at work too). Sum it up: I don’t expect much joy in Idolville this day.
The one possible ray of sunshine is that Kellie might just go platinum this week with “Best Days of Your Life”. If not this week, than surely next. Go Pickler!
