Kayne West will be topping the album chart this week, but it may not be the victory it seems. Sales have fallen of precipitously from his last album which is not all the surprising since he had no lead off single and his current relationship is probably not helping him being taken seriously. Still, the predictions tell the tale of concern. He started the week with BB and USA Today predicting 500K in sales. By the time the one-day numbers were in, HDD was predicting 375-380K and BB 360-380K. Before the weekend, HDD predicted 360-385K and BB 330-340K. By the time the dust settled yesterday, HDD predicted 328K (SS Official: 327K). Good numbers, but Yikes!!! That is what front-loaded numbers will do and does not portend well for second week numbers.
Meanwhile, Danielle is predicted to be in the top 20 selling her compilation album. Fantasia, Phil, Carrie and Kelly should still be in the top 200.
