American Idol Judges Round Takes Place in Nashville Today

Thousands audition for American Idol in Nashville – NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDRB) – Even though season 14 of American Idol won’t start airing until next year, the search for talent is well underway. Around 4,000 aspiring singers turned out in ‘Music City’ for show auditions. “Very nervous right now and excited I guess,” said Rose Thompson of Nashville. Michigan’s Jena Irene talks ‘American Idol;’ tour to stop in Mount Pleasant – Now, she has time to explore her options for recording an album on a more reasonable schedule. She’s researching options, trying to figure out her future and writing when she can.
“Writing has always been a huge aspect of my career,” she said. She started writing music at age 9, playing the piano by ear. She hopes to take this love of writing and parlay it into a music career. “I want to write with as many people as I can,” she said. American Idol Taylor Hicks helps celebrate Flora-Bama anniversary – PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – It’s not every day that a bar turns 50 years old. And for American Idol alum Taylor Hicks, who spent 20 years performing at the bar, it’s something you want to be there for. “This taught me a lot about performing in front of all kinds of different folks. And when I got on Idol, I just thought about the Idol audience as the Flora-Bama audience. So it translated,” Hicks said.
