Country star Kellie Pickler performs at Armada Fair – As the reigning champion of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” and a former contestant on “American Idol,” country singer Kellie Pickler knows what it’s like to be judged with millions of people watching on TV. But could she sit in judgment of other artists? “I think I could,” she said in a telephone interview from Virginia earlier this week. “Obviously, I couldn’t judge for technique on a dance show, but for singing, it could be fun. Jennifer Hudson Gives Away School Supplies To Chicago Kids – CHICAGO (CBS) – Oscar and Grammy-winning Chicagoan Jennifer Hudson was in her hometown today to give away school supplies to thousands of school kids. To gather school supplies for 5,000 children, Julia Hudson spends a lot of time searching for all sort of supplies. “7,000 folders, paper, 5,000 packages of pencils, pens,” she listed. “Calculators, USB drives!” chimed in her famous sister Jennifer. Cassadee Pope finds her voice in country music – The season 3 winner of NBC’s “The Voice” would like to get one thing straight — her coach Blake Shelton did not force the tattooed rocker to go country. “Most people don’t even know that I actually grew up singing country music,” says soon-to-be-24-year-old songstress Cassadee Pope. “Country music feels very natural to me. Considering where country music is now, I knew that this genre would allow me to incorporate my pop rock influences as well. But rumour and gossip are not to be listened to, apparently – the BBC have denied that Sir Tom will be vacating his spinny red seat. “It is not true to say that Tom has decided to leave The Voice as the line-up is still to be confirmed.
