Hundreds seize last to chance to be ‘Idol’ at Railyard auditions – They came from near and far — some traveling all the way from California, Texas and Colorado — to take a long shot at musical stardom. Amateur singers in their teens and 20s began lining up before sunrise Friday at Santa Fe’s Railyard Park to show their stuff. By the time the judging began at 9 a.m., there were hundreds lined up for the opportunity to stand before a couple of American Idol producers at a table and sing 30 or 40 seconds of a song. NHL Awards: Rob Riggle, Chris Daughtry and Erik Karlsson spotted at LIGHT Nightclub – On June 24 was a memorable occasion at LIGHT Nightclub inside Mandalay Bay as the Las Vegas hot spot welcomed several notable individuals who came out to celebrate and let loose with close friends. Following the NHL Awards, which were held earlier in the evening at MGM Grand, host Rob Riggle performer Chris Daughtry and James Norris Memorial Trophy winner Erik Karlsson were seen in high spirits as they enjoyed their evening at the mid-week affair. Also spotted reveling in the night were retired NHL legends Daniel Alfredsson and Anson Carter. Turntable sensation DJ Mustard kept the energy going all night by spinning fan-favorite tracks for hockey fans and clubgoers who were in attendance for the extravagant affair. – Las Vegas Informer

Jordin Sparks Takes iHeartRadio Theater By Storm With New Album Preview – “Sometimes life is great, full of rainbows and butterflies and sometimes it’s not so great,” she told the audience, before dedicating her song, “Battlefield,” to those in attendance, adding, “If you’re going through something right now, this song is for you” SPARKS explained that she had the opportunity to dive deep into her writing on the upcoming album and was able to team up with many artists that she greatly respected, including BABYFACE, who she collaborated with crafting her new track, “They Don’t Give,” which she explained was inspired by being in a relationship that other people didn’t understand.
