‘American Idol’: Why Is Lazaro Arbos The Last Man Standing? – Longtime “Idol” blogger MJ Santilli is a fan of Arbos’ and agreed that he’s definitely getting a lot of empathy votes from fans who feel like they want to mother him and help him get as far as possible on the show. But commenters on her site have also noted that he appears to be getting a major boost from his Cuban compatriots in Florida and will probably hang around a bit longer because he’s the last guy left. “He was really the most interesting of all the guys, and not for good reasons,” she said. “Even though they were all better singers, they were all boring.” – Read more at MTV
Lazaro Arbos Says He Will Go Home Next on American Idol — Exclusive! – Q: Knowing that boys have been going home every week, what does that make you think about Thursday? LA: This week is my last week here. This week just me, five guys. Bam. Q: Usually you do your solo really well because it’s something you know and it’s something you like. But then there is the other number… LA: I think that the reason why I’ve messed up in my group performances is because I haven’t known my solo song that well, so I focus on my solo song so much that I just don’t pay attention to my duet song. And I think that the fact that when you are on stage with another person that makes you feel more laid back, and it makes you feel more comfortable. And that can sometimes be a bad thing. – Read more at Wetpaint

It really was because it affected everything, and it was frustrating that I felt kind of helpless in a way backstage, not being able to really do anything by myself. Getting dressed was hard and then to perform is painful. So instead of me trying to live in the moment, it was bad, but I am just relieved now. This week I am taking advantage of the fact that I am not in pain. = Read more at Wet Paint
“American Idol” Reject Burnell Taylor Says Lazaro Could Win, Talks Romance with Amber – “My advice to Lazaro: I just advise him to continue to do what he’s been doing because it’s working for him,” Burnell tells ABC News Radio. “I mean, he’s in a good position. Kelly Clarkson Ask Anything Chat
Kelly hopes to release her next album at the beginning of 2014. She’s already recorded a few song for it. She also confirms the Christmas album for December. The singer is set to perform her single “People Like Us” on Thursday’s Idol results show.
Why ‘American Idol’ Needs Lazaro Arbos – And five weeks into Season 12’s finals, we should consider ourselves lucky that Lazaro Arbos has not only managed to outlast four more talented male contestants, but also attract an astonishing number of votes for a contestant so far out of his league, you might as well name him Kit. Because without Arbos, we’d be left with a crop of singers talented enough to sit alongside Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood on the Billboard charts. We’d be left with a crop of singers with interview packages charming enough to help us develop an unhealthy obsession with their Twitter feeds. But mostly, we’d be left with a crop of talented singers and no villain – Read more at Hollywood.com
