Kelly Clarkson on her secret Broadway dream — and which iconic role she’d like to play – “I would love to do something brand-new [on Broadway]. I think it would be exciting to create a role,” the singer reveals. “And maybe that’s because the musical I would want to revive is Funny Girl.” True, Clarkson knows it would be difficult to step into Barbra Streisand’s immortal shoes—”she’s a hard act to follow!” she says, with a laugh—but there’s still something about Fanny Brice that draws her in. “I just relate to that character, and I’ve loved it since I was a little girl,” she says. “I’ve always kind of been that awkward girl that stood out—in not such a great way sometimes.” – Sorry Kelly! Last I checked, Glee co-creator, Ryan Murphy had the rights. You’ll have to pry that role out of Lea Michele’s cold, dead hands. Heh. – Read more at Entertainment Weekly

Kelly Clarkson Q&A: The Pop Superstar on ‘Piece By Piece,’ Recording While Pregnant & Bringing a Crib on Her Tour Bus – I’m just as busy as ever. I just got my schedule for New York, and that is as insane as it always is. The cool thing is that I have the most amazing nanny named Allie, and she makes it possible for me to be a working mom that gets to stay involved in my child’s life. River is everywhere with me — she’ll go to Fallon and Good Morning America with me. Well, maybe not GMA, since that’s really frickin’ early for her. But she’ll go to all the stuff that I’m going to do, and I’ll get to be there with her while working. I already designed my bus — my bus is already ready, and we have a whole crib on there, a whole kids section for our other two kids. So we’re ready for the tour, which is starting this summer, and then we go to the rest of the world after America. I don’t think being a mom needs to slow you down. If anything, it just makes you more productive. – Read more at Billboard

Q&A: Kelly Clarkson Talks Lesbian Groupies (‘Kezbos’!), Gay Bars & Her Problem With ‘Risqué’ Pop Peers – Speaking of which, how might you and your hubby handle it if River turned out to be lesbian? Oh, I don’t care. I mean, here’s what I hope for her: I just hope she finds love. It took me a while, man. And there was a lot of heartache throughout those years. You know, as long as she’s happy, I don’t care either way, and neither does my husband. And we have two other kids as well, and we don’t care either way for all of them. If one of them were to come out to you, what would you say? I’d be like, “Awesome! When do we meet him or her?” Honestly, it’s so funny, it doesn’t even register in my world as different. I don’t know why. But yeah, it doesn’t. I’m glad it doesn’t! – Read more at Pridesource.com

InDepth InterView: Rachel Potter Talks New Album, NOT SO BLACK & WHITE, Plus Looks Back At EVITA, WICKED, THE X FACTOR & More – PC: Have you auditioned to appear on GLEE or SMASH or any of the other performing arts related shows over the years? RP: Actually, I did. I auditioned for Rachel Berry on GLEE when they were first looking for people for that. It didn’t go too far – I think I got maybe one callback – but it was in New York, not LA. I think all the screen tests and stuff happened out in LA, so I never got that far, but I auditioned for Rachel Berry and it was really fun to do. I don’t even remember what I sang it was so long ago now. – Read more at Broadway.com

Empire star Taraji P. Henson on her signature line: ‘You don’t want to be called Boo Boo Kitty’ – Explains co-creator Danny Strong, “So basically Taraji is a genius. She’s a comic genius but she’s also an incredibly powerful, dramatic actress and we’re utilizing all that in Cookie. In the case of Boo Boo Kitty, I had rewritten that stupid line five times and then she just comes up and goes, ‘Mm, mm, mm. Boo Boo Kitty.’ And I was like, ‘That’s the most genius thing I’ve ever seen.’ And then we start writing it into the script because we loved it. We loved the phrase ‘Boo Boo Kitty.’” – Read more at Entertainment Weekly
