Katharine McPhee at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston

I stopped by the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston for the second time this month. Earlier, I was there as Ryan Seacrest opened his new media studio for the kids.

She’s in town to headline tomorrow’s Great Tree Lighting at Macy’s at Lenox Square Mall from 7 to 8 p.m. She’ll be singing four songs, including an original.

Also heard she is going to be in an ABC Family film that shoots in Atlanta in the spring so she’ll be back! This is the first time I (finally) got to interview her and she was extremely nice.

ennifer Lopez has parted ways with her longtime publicists after an alleged dispute over her manager Benny Medina.

Dancing with the Stars: Jennifer Grey “Really Surprised” She Won

Nobody, not even a Disney star or the daughter of Sarah Palin, can put Baby in a corner.

Jennifer Grey, the actress best known for her starring role opposite Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing, was named the 11th winner of Dancing with the Stars. And while viewers may not be surprised that the judges’ favorite took home the mirrorball trophy, she was shocked.

“I was really surprised, ” Grey told TVGuide.com following her win. “It means everything to me because I didn’t think I could do it. It’s a very satisfying experience.”

‘Dancing’ Producers Relieved Bristol Palin Didn’t Win

Dancing With The Stars’ producers are thrilled Bristol Palin didn’t win in last night’s finale, fearing her triumph would have made it next to impossible to get celebrities to sign up for next season’s competition.

“Hollywood is famously liberal, and to have the daughter of a Tea Party candidate win would have meant that booking the show would have been impossible, ” a casting director tells me. “Now that Jennifer Grey has won, so many other stars will want to be part of the show and try to get their hands on the mirror ball trophy. If Bristol had won, the show would have been dead.”

Bristol Palin On Giving the Finger, ‘DWTS’ Loss

When asked after the results show Tuesday night if there had been times throughout the season she wanted to give that middle finger, she said, “Yeah. There’s been a few.”

She also didn’t hide her feelings about the press when asked a week early what her favorite and least favorite moments on the show have been. Her favorite, she said, “is just backstage, before a show or after a show when we’re all a group. I think it’s so much fun hanging out with everyone.”

She couldn’t come up with a least favorite part of the experience until a reporter joked, “how about the press?, ” to which she responded, “That wasn’t even in my mind. But, yeah.”

In ‘Dancing’ Finale, a Loss for Palin and a Win for ABC

ABC got everything it wanted out of its “Dancing with the Stars” finale Tuesday night: a huge rating – up about 25 percent from last year – and a winner that most of the show’s legion of fans will feel is worthy.

Much of the success of this “Dancing” season was due to Bristol Palin, the daughter of the former governor of Alaska and vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. Her run to the finals was widely chronicled and debated because of her generally lower scores from the show’s judges.

Ms. Palin was finally eliminated Tuesday night, but not before she got a chance to dance two more times and be a presence for most of the show’s two-hour duration.
