So, what do you think? That crazy X bridge looks a little scary!  Still, pretty excited for the arrival of the new kid on the block next fall (even if it will never be as awesome as Idol…)

  1. It’s time..to face the music! We’ll get to know more in a few weeks :)

  2. I am excited to see how it does. Really interested to hear who the judges will be.

  3. I can see Slezak’s recaps now – The Return of Godzilla. He’ll love it. Maybe throw in some old “Metropolis” clips, complete with robots? That works.

The SF ambiance is already being noted, yeah for Special Effects. I’ve seen the FX Factor as the new name in a few places.

    That even works better, IMO.

  4. I’m not sure if the best way to introduce a British import is to deform an iconic American structure in that way.

And that show isn’t coming out for a year. I find that when promos start to early in advance, I’m simply sick of the thing before it arrives.

  5. Is anyone wondering if the promos will be aired during AI?

    Come on now….with a show that’s 75% drama….they’re sure left it hanging.

Somehow, I thing that was their intention. ;)

  6. That’s so dreary! Give me, some COLOR!!!!!! Ok, it’s just a snippet & I think it’ll be bombastic just like that the AUSSIE promos. :)

    Weird, but…I’m excited!!!

  7. So, they used X Factor UK season 6 footage for Aussie promos? Maybe USA will get some Wagner, Cher and One Direction.

  8. Curious to see how this will do. Australian X factor didn’t perform very well in the ratings but they didn’t have Simon so that could be the difference.

  9. That promo spot was incredibly….. dull.

Anyway, the thing I like about X Factor is that it has that catchy jingle at the beginning and when it’s coming back from commercial break.

  10. I’m looking forward to checking out the X Factor, because I’m frankly bored out of my gourd with Idol. I’ve never watched a second of the Brit original. Looking forward to checking it out.

  11. The success of the UK X Factor is based on tabloid headlines. It is turning more and more into Big Brother, and the press lap it up. They are on board, and go along with the show maneuvering and plotting in exchange for ‘insider’ info.

It going to be interesting to watch how the show is handled in America, the difference with AI and its UK counterpart.
