Scotty McCreery Calls Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Invite ‘Surreal’

“I’ve always watched it every year, and now they invited me to be in it. It will be surreal and cold!” McCreery tells Taste of Country about the New York City parade. “They have me on a float. I’ll be singing and it’s just kind of a nice, simple thing. It’ll just be cool to be up there and see everybody out there.”

This will be the first year that McCreery and his family haven’t all gathered for most of Thanksgiving at the North Carolina home of one of his grandmothers.

‘X Factor’: Astro reflects on his actions, looks to move forward

It’s been a tumultuous week for “The X Factor” finalist and teen rapper Brian “Astro” Bradley. But now that the dust has settled, the 15-year-old is looking to move past his comments in which he expressed disinterest in the singing competition.

He notes that the show’s theme this week is about giving thanks. “With [my] song I’m giving thanks to all my supporters, Team Astro and all the Astronauts all across the world,” he says.
