X Factor’s Astro Doesn’t Believe He Was in The Bottom 2 – “Something’s Fishy”

The drama never seems to end for beleaguered X Factor contestant, Astro. The fifteen year old rapper copped an attitude on Tuesday when he was put into the bottom 2 and had to sing for his life. Afterward, visibly upset, he cried as both Simon Cowell and LA Reid lectured him about his attitude.

Now, he tells The Hollywood Reporter that if he had to go back and re-do how he handled his appearance in the Bottom two on Thursday, he wouldn’t change a thing.

“If I could have gone back, I wouldn’t change a thing.” What’s more, he doesn’t believe he was really in the bottom 2.

“It was kind of aggravating on my part, because basically something that happened behind the scenes,” he says. “I felt like I was being treated unfairly, basically that was X Factor’s way of punishing me. I don’t care to talk about what happened, but I doubt I was in the bottom two.”

The behind the scenes thing Astro is alluding to may be an incident over a set of Dr. Dre headphones.   Astro wore the headphones during his performance when, supposedly, he was told not to.  The headphones had to be blurred out of his you tube videos.

“Not to sound cocky,” he continues. “But I don’t see how you can have the most followers on Twitter of all the contestants, most views on YouTube of all the contestants, and be voted in the bottom two. So, I knew something was fishy… That’s why I spazzed out.”

I’ll tell you how Astro. They type of people who follow favs on facebook and twitter aren’t necessarily the types who power vote. These things do not necessarily correlate.

After a chat with his mentor LA, and an apology to his fans, Astro is ready to move on to next week’s performances.

Simon must consider Astro the gift that keeps on giving. Despite being accused of cheating by one of his own contestants, all Simon probably cares about is the buzz.
