Kelly Clarkson Isn’t Going To Be Dating Any More Musicians Anytime Soon, Thankyouverymuch

Kelly Clarkson‘s video for “Mr. Know It All” is currently sitting atop the VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown, and on this past weekend’s show, she sat down with our buddy Jim Shearer to not only discuss her new record, but also her current relationship status. Jim mentioned that the guys from Gym Class Heroes were crushing on Kelly, but she quickly shot the matchmaking suggestion down. “I try not to date musicians,” she told our fearless host. “It’s all I’ve dated. Every guy I’ve dated is a musician. Obviously, it’s not working.”

Ten Reasons to Watch the CMA Awards

Miss Piggy — with whom I competed fiercely at the host auditions this year — has it out for me, I’m pretty sure. I caught her rehearsing “Remind Me,” in her dressing room. I’ll have to keep my eye on her.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will both be there too. Just between us, I’m beginning to suspect there’s something going on between them.

Any favorite moments you would like to share from your tour experience?

There were so many. But my favorite moment was in Tokyo, Japan. Their theatre etiquette is very different from ours. They don’t clap until the end of the production. So for two and a half hours every night we were dancing in high heels, belting and doing 15 second quick changes, with no claps, but at the end of the musical they stood to their feet for at least five minutes, cheering, and showing us love unlike any other city we went to. The culture their is wonderful.

“I’ve had an incredible year, an incredible couple of years, of some ups and some not so ups,” Lopez said, breaking down during her speech at the Women of the Year ceremony. “And the one thing that got me through was the women in my life.”

Dancing With the Stars: Tom Bergeron Says Less Is More

t’s still a Top 10 hit, but this season ABC’s Dancing With the Stars is down nearly 14 percent from last fall, to an average of 18 million viewers. Host Tom Bergeron has a suggestion to keep viewers interested: Only air the show once a year, rather than in both fall and spring.

“One season a year works very well for American Idol,” says Bergeron, who thinks the longer wait creates more viewer anticipation. “I certainly think that’s one of the things that should be considered going forward. I would be looking at the spring season very carefully.”

‘Glee’s’ Cory Monteith: ‘The First Time’ Will Only ‘Strengthen’ Finn and Rachel’s Relationship

“Having watched it myself, I think it was a really well done episode and I think it handled a lot of sensitive topics very maturely,” Monteith tells The Hollywood Reporter.

“Puck says, ‘I don’t use ’em and it works for me 99 percent of the time,’ ” Monteith says. “I think the show has a certain level of responsibility to advocate for teenagers making better choices. To see a scene that implies that teenagers have the opportunity to make the right choices in situations like that is pretty cool.”

Chris Colfer Panicked A Bit Over ‘First Time’

Insider: Do you think Blaine and Kurt are soulmates, and that wherever one goes, the other should go too?
Chris: Fans are going to kill me for saying this, but I like when our show is as honest as possible and if Kurt is going off to college, I think he has to do it on his own. Not saying that he and Blaine have to break up necessarily, but I would like to see him in a more independent light, where he doesn’t need anyone. I think if he ventured out, we’d want to see him live – see him trying new relationships. If they keep him with Blaine, I’m OK with that too. Theirs is a groundbreaking relationship that needs to be seen. Especially since I think there’s a misconception that relationships between two young gay guys usually aren’t monogamous. And that’s sad. I’m glad that Kurt and Blaine are an example of what a relationship could be, and that’s one of the reasons I think fans have grown to love them so much.

‘Glee’ teen sex slammed by protest groups

While the PTC claims their protest is not provoked by the show’s gay inclusive content, another outspoken group objects to Glee depicting a same-sex couple. The Culture and Media Institute, which has a history of opposing gay marriage, wrote in an editorial today that Glee has “waged a relentless campaign of liberal propaganda and pushing the boundaries of what’s acceptable on broadcast TV” and that with tonight’s episode “the show is now stepping up its campaign of homosexual promotion.”

‘Glee’: Ryan Murphy defends tonight’s controversial teen sex episode, ‘The First Time’ — EXCLUSIVE

“We were talking about it [in the writers’ room] like, ‘Why shouldn’t [Kurt and Blaine] lose their virginity at the same time?’” Murphy tells EW exclusively. “Everybody has seen a straight couple losing their virginity, but has anyone dovetailed the gay and straight stories together and given them equal weight? That seemed like an exciting choice and a new thing.”

The Glee co-creator also reveals that network Fox expressed no concern over the episode’s potentially polarizing subject matter — though the Parents Television Council issued a statement today condemning the episode: “The fact that Glee intends to…celebrate children having sex is reprehensible. The gender of the high school characters involved is irrelevant.” Murphy, who isn’t surprised by the controversy, is staying focused on the bigger picture: In a year when bullying and teen suicides have grabbed headlines, he’s hopeful that Kurt and Blaine’s romance will continue to deliver a positive message to Glee’s audience. “I think what it says to a lot of young gay people who are confused and ashamed is that you can get love and are worthy of love.”
