Kelly Clarkson appears on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Tune into the 4th hour of the Today Show this morning, when Kelly Clarkson will be co-hosting the show with Hoda Kotb. Kathie Lee Gifford will be taking the day off.

Jordin Sparks and Lauren Alaina will perform at the TNW Breakfast Show @ Night for KMLE Country 108, on December 2nd at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix AZ.

Aaj Ka Dhamaka showcases South Asian dance with Anoop Desai

To celebrate its 25th Anniversary this year, UNC’s South Asian Awareness Organization Sangam will host the annual intercollegiate dance competition Aaj Ka Dhamaka (AKD) on Saturday.

This year, they will be featuring a performance by American Idol finalist and UNC alumnus, Anoop Desai.

Nine teams from all over the country are coming to Chapel Hill this weekend to compete in the competition, including two from Duke.

Attend the show Saturday at 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall. Tickets are $13 for students and $16 for the general public.

‘X Factor’ – Unintentional Reuniter of Sweaty ’80s Glam Band

He lost out on $5 mil … but “X Factor” reject Dexter Haygood got one hell of a parting gift from the show … a chance at a reunion with his old band — the first all black rock group ever featured on MTV.

Haygood was the frontman of the funk/rock sextet known as Xavion — they were huge in the ’80s … for a minute … even briefly touring with Hall & Oates.

But the guys went their separate ways … and completely lost touch with Haygood … unaware that he struggled with substance abuse and wound up on the streets.

So, when Haygood appeared on the show as a contestant … the other band members were shocked — and most of the guys instantly reached out to their old friend.

Tuesday night on “The X Factor, ” the top 17 became the top 12. And it is a very strong top 12. While certain contestants are early frontrunners–either based on strong first auditions, a disproportionate amount of screentime, or excellent performances this week on the first live show–really, almost all of them have a decent chance of winning this thing. It will certainly be interesting to see how it all pans out.
