Beverly native Angie Miller chooses indie route for debut – Angie Miller, the 20-year-old Beverly homegirl who should have won the 12th season of “American Idol,” has learned a few things since she finished third in the mega TV talent show. “It’s been a journey,” Miller told the Track. “I’ve done a lot of growing. Before ‘Idol’ I was an 18-year-old kid who was about to graduate high school. Then I was on national TV. I didn’t know anything. Over the past 10 months I’ve been developing musically and I’ve learned what my real sound is … I know what I want to sound like. I know what it’s like to be onstage.
