Jordin Sparks: Jason Derulo and I Are Talking Marriage! –  “It’s not a conversation that we’re scared about,” Sparks explains. “Before, we both went through tragedies this year — he broke his neck and then [Sparkle costar] Whitney [Houston] passed — so before it might have been a little too crazy.” (While practicing choreography for his tour in January, Derulo missed a landing and fell on his neck, fracturing one of his vertebra. Doctors reportedly told him he “could have” been paralyzed. Sparks’ onscreen mother Houston died on February 11 at the age of 48.) Sparks says the couple’s priorities shifted after they took some time to reflect on the year’s events. “You really see the people you love and you go, I don’t want to lose you,” she explained. “So, it’s a conversation we have, but we’re not in a rush.” – Read more at US Magazine

We’re told Wag sent an offer letter to Brittany, touting their relationships with TLC and A&E, in an effort to lure her into doing a show with them. We’re told the basic premise would be to follow Brittany’s efforts to break into the music biz. Don’t hold your breath though — our sources say Brittany will likely turn down the proposition. Inside Britney Spears’ Fortune: See Where the Money Goes – Two years before her promotion to prime-time, Spears had already secured herself a healthy $32.4 million in cash, property and other assets, according to documents obtained today by E! News. And good for her—because the gal’s got expenses! Under a conservatorship managed by her father, Jamie Spears, and lawyer Andrew Wallet, Britney’s fiduciary and attorney fees came to $973,547.79 in 2010. Jamie, under the more businessy Spears Management, collected $192,000 for his efforts, and Wallet’s firm was paid $213,862.500. To Sam Ingraham, the attorney who’s been representing her since her infamous 2008 mental-health crisis led to the establishment of the conservatorship, Britney paid $209,920.62. Keeping that massive estate and her daily life in order costs a pretty penny, as well: $465,685.08 was spent on personnel and assistants. Next up, Britney shelled out $303,673.72 for child support and care (sounds like ex-husband Kevin Federline had a somewhat decent 2010 as well then). – Read more at Eonline

Steven Van Zandt, ‘utility guy,’ to be honored at gala performance – At this year’s Wrecking Ball Tour, audiences around the world have cheered Springsteen’s amazing resilience. But on Tuesday, a smaller crowd will gather at the Manhattan Center’s Grand Ballroom to shower praise on Van Zandt at the Right to Rock Celebration. Little Kids Rock, a nonprofit dedicated to providing musical instruments for children who cannot otherwise afford them, has named him the guest of honor at its 10th annual gala. Elvis Costello, Southside Johnny Lyon, Tom Morello, Jake Clemons and others have promised to perform Van Zandt originals. Van Zandt insists he’ll be mostly there to listen (and to have his life in showbiz pass before his eyes), but it’s a pretty safe bet he’ll take his turn in front of a microphone. – Read more at NJ.com
