This weekend, the lucky hundred or so who advance get to audition before the TV judges — Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul.

Thanks to an alarm we’ve rigged to alert us to all things Idol, we identified the secret location in Miami where Idol staff is crushing the hopes of the many deluded superstars. But, we’ve seen the torture scene in the last James Bond flick. Simon’s meaner than that guy, so we’re not telling you where they are. Plus, security is afraid that if the masses descend on the covert operation, Paula will get even crazier. That just wouldn’t be nice……..
