UPDATE: The US Open Men’s Final Tennis match was POSTPONED due to rain. David Cook was scheduled to sing “America the Beautiful”. The match is rescheduled for tomorrow (Monday 9/13/10) at 4 pm ET and will be broadcast on CBS.

David Cook tweets that he will sing “America The Beautiful” at the rescheduled match, “Alright: US Open Men’s Final on CBS at 4:00pm Eastern. See you all tomorrow.”

Diana Degarmo presented the Horizon Award, an award she received in the past. The Black Crowes and India.Arie were inducted.

Aaron Kelly greets thousands in Sullivan County

LAPORTE, Pa. – On Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, American Idol singer and Sonestown native Aaron Kelly greeted thousands of fans who arrived at the courthouse square in Sonestown, Pa. for a block party, parade, and meet and greet with autographs included.

The event, which was organized by the community through Deb Peterman of the Laporte Fire Department, was one of Kelly’s stops at the conclusion of his American Idol tour, and prior to his departure to Nashville, Tenn. on Monday where he will begin his career as a songwriter and performing artist.
