Crystal Bowersox is in Chicago this weekend for a little post-Idols Live  R&R. Today, she met some pretty important people. She tweeted, “Just met Oprah winfrey and wynona Judd! What a day.” Not too shabby!

AS it turns out, there is a limit to Fantasia Barrino’s tolerance for exposure.

“Why don’t we go back to the car?” she asked, perched on a small sliver of couch at Dusk, a bar on West 24th Street in Manhattan. “I’d be more comfortable talking there.”

It was an uncharacteristic moment of shyness from a woman who’s lately been anything but. In the weeks following a suicide attempt, Ms. Barrino, the “American Idol” winner, Broadway star and recording artist, has been everywhere — “Behind the Music” on VH1, “Good Morning America, ” “Lopez Tonight, ” and on and on — telling her story and promoting her new album, “Back to Me.”

Simon Cowell allowed X Factor fighters to see clip before it airs tonight

Worried X Factor boss Simon Cowell allowed two contestants who fought on stage to view their audition tape before agreeing it could be shown tonight.

The Mirror last week exclusively revealed how teenage best friends Abbey Johnston and Lisa Parker came to blows. But following reports Abbey, 18, had faced abuse in her home town after a taster clip was shown, Cowell wanted to ensure the pair were happy with the bust-up to be broadcast.

Dancing Prevents Jennifer Grey’s Cancer Scare From Getting Too Scary

Thanks to Dancing With the Stars’ requirement that contestants be healthy (at least when they start the show), Jennifer Grey still has many more times-of-her-life to be had.

The actress’ rep confirms to E! News that a spinal surgeon who counts Karina Smirnoff as a patient encouraged Grey to have what she thought was a benign nodule removed from her neck last year.

And it’s a good thing she did, because the lump turned out to be cancerous.
