Scotty McCreery, ‘The Trouble With Girls’ – Lyrics Uncovered

“This song is only maybe three or four months old, ” White tells Taste of Country. “It was pretty special lyrics. Chris is a few years younger than me, but we grew up in same area in north Alabama. I didn’t know him growing up, but this was the first time we sat down to write. Chris is a melody genius. He sat down at the grand piano and began playing that melody. He’s got two little babies, and I’ve got a daughter and a son. We were talking about understanding girls and women.”

New Universal Music CEO has star-making plan

“A&R people are an indication of your commitment to new music and to new artists, ” he said. “There are so many categories of A&R people; some are talent scouts, some have an instinctive sense of marketing, and others are brilliant at making records.

“There are High Street opportunists aware of fashion trends and individuals who can be turned into recording artists. I started as a talent scout; I’m still a talent scout. It’s about identifying anything that is creative.”

Grainge added, “The commitment to rejuvenating and refreshing at Universal is constant. I’ve always felt that if you constantly challenge, by definition there’s always something new.

Labor Day this year promises to be bland by comparison, with the 85-year-old Lewis now banished from the annual rite he built from scratch and molded in his image.

GLAAD on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ casting: ‘Tremendous step forward’

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation doesn’t typically weigh in on the latest round of celebrities on Dancing with the Stars, but then it’s not every season that a transgender and an openly gay man decide to tango under the mirror ball. As a result, GLAAD lauded ABC for including Chaz Bono and Carson Kressley in the 13th season.

“With both gay and transgender contestants represented on this upcoming season, ABC will send viewers a strong message about the diversity within the LGBT community, ” said Herndon Graddick, senior of director of programs for GLAAD, in a statement. “At a time when transgender representation in the media is sorely lacking, Chaz Bono joining the cast is a tremendous step forward for the public to recognize that transgender people are another wonderful part of the fabric of American culture. Appearing on such a high-profile show will allow millions of Americans to get to know him in a whole new light.”
