Aerosmith axman Joe Perry put the blast on his rock ’n’ roll partner yesterday for learning about frontman Steven Tyler’s alleged “American Idol” gig on the Web.

“There was an Aerosmith afterparty at Studio 54 after the Vegas show – which none of us in the band knew anything about – and he said some stuff there. I mean, this is no small thing.”

The question is: Will the “dawg” be back for season 10?

So despite the shake-ups, Jackson is still on board – at least for now. “He wouldn’t stay somewhere he wasn’t happy, ” the source adds.

A spokesperson for the animal rights organization released the following statement to FOX411.com.

“Instead of angering thousands of would-be fans by killing helpless animals on camera in attempt to get her ’15 Minutes of Shame, ‘ Kristy Lee Cook’s fame crusade would be better served by following in the footsteps of fellow Idol alum-turned-country-stars Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler—as well as Simon Cowell—all of whom have used their fame and talent to speak up for animals.”
