Langone doesn’t want to be the next DeWyze
“There’s a different component to that (paying your dues at ultra-small venues), ” Longone said. “That was then and this is now. That’s what makes this season so different. It’s what makes this group different from anybody else who has done the show. It has to do with timing, it has to do with who you know, it has to do with what you are going to do in the industry. What route you are going to go, what crowd and what people you are going to tap into. What area of music, what genre.
“Right now I know the area I want to go into and what I have to deliver can work and will work in the industry. It’s all about timing and right now the timing is right. I got to meet with bands and the producers of Interscope, one of the hottest record labels in the world right now, I made great relationships with people who want to work with me, people who are writing for me already and (I’m) really using those things to become the artist that I want to become.
“I didn’t do American Idol to be the (next) Lee DeWyze or …. Obviously that’s something that we are all here to not do.”

Jennifer Lopez: Post-Split Plans to Leave the Country!
The American Idol judge is heading to the Ukraine next week. So…is this the new post-split place to party or something?
No, but she will have plenty to celebrate because a source tells E! News that Lopez is getting paid more than $1 million dollars to sing a live set at a wedding in Ukraine on July 19.
“It’s a wealthy guy who wanted J.Lo and was willing to pay top dollar, ” says the source.
Lopez’s twins Max and Emme aren’t expected to make the trip with her, according to the source.

“They’re both committed to ¡Q’viva! and will work on it as planned, ” a spokesman for XIX Entertainment said. “The show goes on!”. XIX Entertainment is yet to lock English- and Spanish-language U.S. networks to carry the show, and the publicity surrounding Lopez and Anthony’s split may actually help line up distributors.

So once the tour wraps up, are you just going to hit the ground running working on your album?
I’m already hitting the ground running. The stars are aligning, everything’s falling into place. You’ve got to get on it. I’ve been doing a lot of writing, and working with folks. James Michael from Sixx:A.M., Dj Ashba from Nikki Sixx’s band. Tomorrow I’m working with Marty Fredrickson that’s worked with Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Buckcherry, and right now working on the new Aerosmith record. I’m working with him and James Michael tomorrow. Writing all day. We just wrote an amazing track, we’re shopping it around, and hopefully some good news will be coming out very soon.

It looks like new father Constantine Maroulis is working hard to earn cool parent points.
The American Idol alum — who welcomed daughter Malena, 6½ months, last December — has teamed up with Disney and Fisher Price to help launch Rock Star Mickey.
Available in Sept., the interactive plush toy ($55) sings, plays the guitar and dances — he even does the splits! — while decked out in hip gear and shades.

‘SYTYCD’ Dancers Ryan & Alexander Speak Post-Elimination
This week on “So You Think You Can Dance, ” Ryan and Alexander went home, and really, this was the right call by America and the judges. It seemed like their time to go. But that didn’t make their elimination any less bittersweet, especially since Ryan was so obviously distraught, onstage and off. In fact, backstage she was seen being consoled by sweet guest judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson, looking positively crushed.
