‘The Voice’ Coaches Near New Deals – I hear the pacts with Levine, Cee-Lo and Shelton are pretty much done, with Aguilera’s getting there too. Still, there is a lot of scheduling details to iron out as NBC is eying The Voice for fall next season. I hear the quartet are all getting salary bumps, with Levine, Cee-Lo and Shelton moving up to in the high seven-figure range per season, and Aguilera, who started off higher, still expected to cut the biggest paycheck. – Read more at Deadline

‘Dancing With the Stars’: Tristan MacManus blogs Week 6, defends rumba, explains glasses – On Motown Night: This was a reuinion of sorts for Gladys. Berry Gordy came, which was unreal. I got to meet him tonight, and Duke, the one who’s left in the Four Tops. The Temptations then, some of the Supremes, and of course Martha Reeves and Smokey Robinson. Such a good tribute to Motown. It was unreal to dance to the real artists singing the songs. Everyone has fond memories of Motown and dancing to Motown. It’s inspired so many people. – Read more at Entertainment Weekly

‘Dancing With the Stars’: Maksim Chmerkovskiy says his outbursts are the only ones SFW – “I could get mad, I could be upset about this but actually I think what’s happening is that no one else’s negative moments are light enough for TV,” he says. “Mine are the lightest that you can broadcast, all the others… It’s like we can’t show this on TV. So that’s the story and I’m sticking with it because everyone gets frustrated. Gotye Clarifies ‘Glee’ Comment; Calls Darren Criss-Matt Bomer Cover ‘Clever’ – But at a private performance for Los Angeles alt-rock station 98.7 held at Hollywood’s Sayers Club on Monday afternoon, the 31-year-old clarified his comments, explaining to morning jock Kennedy (formerly of MTV fame) and an intimate crowd of less than 100 (which included Rumer Willis, American Idol winner Kris Allen and reality star Audrina Patridge) that “the nature of using reverb and space in a recording can change your perception of how a sound appeals to you.” In regards to the Glee cover, he pointed out that he was referring to “this xylophone hook in my song — it’s kind of dinky not just in the cover version but the original song.” Somehow, he added mockingly, “that becomes the Glee cover I hated and Darren Criss is an asshole.” In fact, Gotye went on to compliment the Fox show’s interpretation, telling the crowd, “I thought it was really clever to transpose the song to two guys … It was a great idea.” – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter
