‘American Idol’ Castoff Jeremy Rosado Wants To Win 17 Grammys – “I didn’t think that it was as bad as a couple of them were saying; but, you know, Jimmy’s a great guy, and he was hoping for the best … unfortunately I guess to him it didn’t turn out the way he wanted,” Rosado told MTV News. “But, I’m grateful, and I’m grateful to [“Idol” judges] Randy [Jackson] and Steven [Tyler] as well. No matter what happened, there were 112,000 people that auditioned for the show, and praise God, they chose me to be in their top 13, you know? Casey James To Release Debut Album – (Press release) Former “American Idol” contestant and 19 RECORDINGS/ BNA RECORDS NASHVILLE artist CASEY JAMES is set to release his debut, self-titled album on MARCH 20th, and will kick off a week of country-wide promotion for the record with a performance of “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” on MARCH 21st. “My heart gets fluttery thinking about it,” said CASEY. “All my life, I’ve wanted to get an album in stores. Kellie Pickler on Love, Fame, and Performing for Our Troops – The 25-year-old North Carolina native just released her new album 100 Proof and has been announced as the first artist participating in the Ram Truck “Road to the Ram Jam,” a country music series that begins with an invitation-only concert in Nashville on Dec. 29. Ruben Studdard talks about ‘Letters From Birmingham’ – Letters From Birmingham, the fifth album from American Idol’s second winner, parallels the singer’s five-year relationship with Surata Zuri McCants, whom he met at a 2006 signing at an Atlanta WalMart, then married in 2008. Ruben filed for divorce last fall. “It’s a relationship progression I think most people have gone through,” he says of the song cycle. “The album starts with the introduction, then it goes to the courtship, to romantic love. Ingrid Michaelson, Kris Allen, Kelly Clarkson Join Forces for DoSomething.org – The tag-team was put together to announce Michaelson as one of the celebrity judges for DoSomething.org and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation’s Battle for the Bands campaign, which encourages people to create videos showcasing why music education is important and should not be cut from school programs. American Idol winner Kris Allen will be joining Michaelson behind the judges’ table, and Kelly Clarkson is acting as the campaign’s spokeswoman. Katharine McPhee Supports Fashion Designers! – Katharine McPhee is gorgeous in Michael Kors as she hails a cab on Wednesday (March 7) in New York City. The 27-year-old Smash star carried with her an eBay and Council of Fashion Designers of America tote bag! Katharine‘s bag comes from a collaboration between eBay and the CFDA. Britney Spears On ‘X Factor’: Should A Lip-Syncer Judge Talent Show? – As reports swirl that Britney Spears is still in talks with Simon Cowell to join Fox’s “The X Factor,” we have to ask: Should an infamous lip-syncer be judging a talent competition?”I think the more experienced the singer, the better,” observes Taylor Hicks, “American Idol” winner, of Britney’s potential new gig. “The fact that a legit performer is giving you constructive criticism holds a lot more weight in my opinion.” Fellow performer Debbie Gibson agrees that the show needs a judge whose raw talent speaks for itself. “Absolutely not!” Debbie tells me when asked if Britney should join the show. “I definitely think if vocals are what the show is about, then the judges need to walk the walk or sing the song.” – Huffington Post

Benefit Gala – American Conservatory Theater and gala chair Patti Rueff will present Expect the Unexpected!, A.C.T.’s 2012 season gala, April 15 at the Regency Center in San Francisco. “Glee” and How to Succeed… star Darren Criss will headline the evening. The “black-tie-with-a-twist” event (guests are encouraged to be theatrical and add their own flair and props to their outfits) begins at 5 PM with a cocktail reception and is followed by a dinner and original musical production entitled Tales of A.C.T.!, written exclusively for the gala by Dan Rubin and directed by A.C.T. associate artistic director Mark Rucker. – Read more at Playbill.com

‘Smash’: Nick Jonas Returning for Season Finale (Exclusive) – The singer-actor will reprise his guest starring role as Lyle West in the May 14 season finale of the NBC musical drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Jonas first appeared on the Feb. 27 episode as Lyle West, a hot sitcom star who started his career as a child actor starring in a Broadway show written by Tom (Christian Borle) and directed by Derek (Jack Davenport).
