According to sources, Carrie Underwood will premiere her new single “Good Girl” during her CMT Crossroads episode with Steven Tyler this weekend, Saturday February 4.  CMT tells Brian Mansfield that Carrie will NOT be debuting her single “Good Girl” during her CMT Crossroads episode. “As of right now, she is not scheduled to sing her new single on the show.” (Via USAToday)

Adele tweets that she will be performing at the Grammy awards. She had to cancel a tour due to throat surgery. This appearance will be her comeback. she tweets “Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It’s been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can’t wait, speak soon xx”

American Idol’ Mentor Jimmy Iovine Denies Pitching Reality Show – The New York Post’s Page Six column reported Monday that Iovine — who offered McCreery and company a mix of real-world and fatherly advice for music stardom — is pitching employees at his label an idea that would focus on him being a “kingmaker” for would-be pop stars.That’s news to Iovine, who told THR: “I couldn’t do a show, I have about as much talent to do television as you know … it’s not what I do. I wouldn’t know where to begin. [The New York Post story] it’s so crazy. It’s nuts.” As for Idol, now in audition phase of season 11, Iovine said he’s on board when the latest round of finalists are announced in the coming weeks. “I think the people at Idol really want to use my segment to help push the show along. Ryan Seacrest Wins Investments From Clear Channel And Private Funds – This morning’s announcement involves two deals: First, Bain Capital and Thomas H. Lee Partners are putting $300M into Ryan Seacrest Media, the radio and TV personality’s investment holding company. And, second, Clear Channel — which is controlled by the investment firms — is buying a minority stake in Ryan Seacrest Productions, responsible for TV shows including Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Clear Channel chief Bob Pittman has said that he wants to expand and diversify the radio giant’s media presence. The companies didn’t disclose specific terms of their deals. – Read more at Deadline

Grant Gustin happy being ‘Glee’s’ smooth criminal – Grant Gustin’s road to”Glee”started in Chicago. The 22-year-old, who plays Sebastian on the Fox series, was living in Lincoln Park last year with castmates from the national touring company of “West Side Story” when he submitted an audition video to appear as a tap dancer in the Season 3 premiere of “Glee.” “I submitted a video of myself doing ‘Good Morning’ from ‘Singing in the Rain’ and they liked me but I wasn’t right for the role I guess,” he said. – Chicago.com
