Carrie Underwood to To Take Part in Linda Ronstadt Rock Hall Tribute – Coldplay’s Chris Martin will pay tribute to Peter Gabriel, who plans on performing. Glenn Frey of the Eagles will induct his former bandleader Linda Ronstadt, and a unique tribute will be staged to the singer featuring Stevie Nicks, Carrie Underwood, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt. Cassadee Pope Brings Back a Big Voice With Second Single – “I really just love belting,” says Pope. “I look up to artists like Martina McBride and Kelly Clarkson. They leave it all out there on their recordings and onstage. I don’t know if it’s a signature thing, but I really like to do it a lot.” The note is a particularly telling moment in Pope’s development as an artist, because her big-voiced performance was not necessarily part of the road map in the demo she originally heard. Tessanne Chin won’t be ruled by record sales – The path from TV talent show winner to recording star can be a fraught one, but Tessanne Chin won’t let it rattle her. “I look at people like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood; it was not an overnight thing,” she told the Star at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Toronto, where she received a Luminary Award at the weekend University of the West Indies benefit gala. “I am not going to take on that pressure of, ‘Oh, is she going to be the one?’ If I can wake up and do what I’m doing and be happy, put food on my table and make you happy by doing it, that’s success to me. It’s Official: ‘Nashville’ Stars Going on Tour – More than a year after word first leaked that the stars of country music drama Nashville would hit the road, ABC has made it official. The network on Monday announced that stars Charles Esten (Deacon), Clare Bowen (Scarlett), Jonathan Jackson (Avery), Sam Palladio (Gunnar) and Chris Carmack (Will) will hit the road for a three-city tour in April and May. Dianna Agron Joins Jason Sudeikis, Rebecca Hall Rom-Com ‘Tumbledown’ – Former “Glee” actress Dianna Agron has joined Jason Sudeikis and Rebecca Hall in the romantic comedy “Tumbledown,” which began principal photography in Massachusetts this week. Agron co-stars with Joe Manganiello, Blythe Danner, Griffin Dunne and Richard Masur in director Sean Mewshaw’s first feature, written by first-time screenwriter Desi Van Til. The filmmakers previously collaborated on the short film “Last Night,” which starred Frances McDormand and premiered at the Venice Film Festival. – Read more at The Wrap
