LENA DUNHAM TO HOST SNL ON MARCH 8 WITH MUSICAL GUEST THE NATIONAL – Lena Dunham will make her SNL hosting debut on March 8. Dunham created and currently stars in the HBO series, “Girls.” The National will make their first appearance as musical guest. Their most recent album, “Trouble Will Find Me,” received a 2014 Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album and their documentary “Mistaken For Strangers” hits theaters last week of March. NBC To Launch iHeartRadio Music Awards Show Hosted By Ryan Seacrest – A new music awards show is entering the fray. I hear NBC would announce as early as tomorrow morning the launch of iHeartRadio Music Awards with Ryan Seacrest as host. The inaugural ceremony will air on Thursday, May 1, just 17 days before the Billboard Awards on ABC. – Read more at Deadline

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Nominees 2014 Revealed: Maroon 5 “So Excited to Be Nominated” – “We are so excited to be nominated for Kids’ Choice Favorite Group this year,” lead singer Adam Levine exclusively tells Us Weekly. “We were all bitten by the music bug at a very young age so it’s always great to be recognized by the kids. Idol star Phillip Phillips memorabilia up for auction Saturday – ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Phillip Phillips’ latest single is scheduled to be released Tuesday as he prepares to go on tour next month in Canada.
His father Donnie Phillips is preparing to retire and will hold another auction at his famous East Albany pawn shop. Memorabilia up for sale includes autographed guitars, musical instruments, song sheets, and dozens of photos and family souvenirs from his American Idol days. ‘The Voice’: Usher Talks Cee Lo’s Departure, a ‘Feistier’ Shakira – When asked about Cee Lo Green’s recently announced exit from season 7, Burnett, who described the show as “half-sitcom” and “a board game in real life” that you play with your family, explained that no coach’s place is actually permanent, per say. “We knew from the beginning — if you want to have a show with the biggest superstars in music in those red chairs, they have day jobs … the hardest part is the jigsaw puzzle of schedules. ‘The Voice’: Usher’s Blind Audition Strategy, Mark Burnett on Cee Lo Green’s Exit – Usher — who Daly called “the Mr. Miagi of coaches” — spoke on his button-pressing strategy during the blind auditions, as he’s usually never the first of the four judges to turn his chair for a singer. “It’s that, well, I don’t want to be stuck with this talent, because most of the time, when you hit your button, everybody else is [backing] off that person, you’re kind of stuck with them, so I usually wait,” admitted Usher, though there is a benefit to turning first. “Being able to see how the talent reacts to the turn — the first thing is they know they’re on the show, so they lose it a little bit…if you have sustaining power, it’s because you can deal with the pressure.” – Read more at Hollywood Reporter

He’s in trouble now: Simon Cowell gets ticking off by police for flouting ‘no dogs’ rule on Miami beach – He’s been enjoying a blissful holiday in Miami with girlfriend Lauren Silverman and baby Eric, but Simon Cowell proved he’s not above the law when he was caught breaking the rules on Monday. The TV mogul got into a spot of bother for flouting a sign which clearly state that no dogs are allowed on the beach.
