S.A.’s leggy ‘Idol’ finalist: Today’s judges not as mean – The Alamo City native and Taft High graduate, who’s based in Vegas but will be back on a San Antonio stage Tuesday night to perform with other reality stars in Ballroom with a Twist at the Tobin Center, described “Idol’s” judges — Harry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban — as “awesome.” “There’s a lot more encouragement now on the show than I got when I was on with Simon (Cowell), Randy (Jackson) and Paula (Abdul),” she added. Luke Wade takes show on the road after ‘The Voice’ – “My mom was a dance teacher and I took dance as a kid,” said Wade. “I got exposed to a lot of classic rock because I had to clean my mom’s dance studio to get my allowance. All there was to listen to were records.” While cleaning up the studio, Wade would listen to artists such as Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Eric Clapton and Bob Marley.
