American Idol 2nd Night Ratings Dip

American Idol is down 6 percent from Wednesday’s 3.2 rating. It’s down from last season’s second episode as well. Big Bang Theory returns to CBS, and as expected, blows the rest of the network programming out of the water.

American Idol came in 2nd to both Big Bang and Mom in their respective half hours. Idol did win its time slot in the 9:30 to 10 pm half hour.

On FOX, American Idol notched a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating, down 6 percent from a 3.2 for Wednesday’s premiere.
