Alex Preston up for New England Music Award – MONT VERNON — Local singer and songwriter Alex Preston has been nominated as male performer of the year for the 2015 New England Music Awards. Preston, the third-place finalist in the last season of “American Idol,” has been named one of six nominees for the honor.
