Idol Headlines for 10/3/13

Tonight, The X Factor 4 Way Challenge resumes with Demi Lovato’s Girls category. Tune in to witness teenagers bawl their eyes out and beg for a chance to advance to the live shows! Sir Mac will be live blogging the spectacle at 8/7c pm FOX.

Right after, at 9/8c PM on FOX, the Glee  two part Beatles tribute concludes as the McKinley kids head to the prom. Who will become Prom Queen? Watch for my recap and videos later.

The American Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Harry Connick Jr. and Ryan Seacrest will be guests on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Check your local listings.

X Factor 2 alum, Carly Rose Sonenclar, announced on twitter that she’ll be guest starring on Law and Order, Special Victims Unit. Her episode airs sometime in October (I hope she’s not a victim! That show can be pretty gnarly in its depiction of sex crimes.)

Bill Nye the Science Guy, just eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, will guest star on The Big Bang Theory. – Bob Newhart returns to THE BIG BANG THEORY as Professor Proton, Sheldon’s favorite childhood hero. In the episode, when Professor Proton (Newhart) contacts Leonard (Johnny Galecki) to ask for help with an experiment, a scorned Sheldon (Jim Parsons) seeks revenge by befriending a rival science TV host, Bill Nye. – Via News Day

‘Got Talent’ & ‘X Factor’ Franchises Get Global YouTube Channels: Video – FremantleMedia and Simon Cowell and Sony’s Syco Entertainment are launching one-stop-shop YouTube channels for the Got Talent and X Factor franchises. Although the various versions around the world — 55 for Got Talent and 25 for X Factor — have their own dedicated channels, the new outlets will draw fans to a single destination for the first time. That’s eyed as a big opportunity for brands to target a massive worldwide audience in one place. Each channel will curate viral clips from the local shows, which Fremantle and Syco say number in the billions of views per year.
