RSVP To Attend CBS This Morning Live Taping of Pippin Songs with Josh Kaufman and Carly Hughes – The Tony Award-winning revival of Pippin will tape a performance of “Corner of the Sky” with incoming title role actor Josh Kaufman and “Simple Joys” with Carly Hughes and acrobats in front of a live audience Oct. 28 at 10 AM; fans are invited to RSVP and attend the live session on the Pippin website. As previously announced, NBC’s “The Voice” winner Kaufman will join the show in the title role beginning Oct. 31. Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande may be popular – but they’re not country – This week, the Country Music Association (CMA) announced that pop divas Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor were to perform at the 48th annual CMA awards in November. Grande will take the stage alongside Day Drinkin’ quartet Little Big Town, and Tainor will perform her smash hit All About That Bass with Miranda Lambert. It is certainly true that country music’s sound has trended toward both pop and hip-hop in the past decade, but employing stars like Grande, 21, and Trainor, 20, only further undermines the idea that the “country” moniker actually means anything in musical terms. There’s another way to read this news, though: as a desperate attempt to include more female talent. David Archuleta launches ‘Glorious’ video contest – Singer David Archuleta teamed up with “Meet The Mormons” once again on Friday in the announcement of a video contest. Archuleta launched the contest with an audio recording on MeettheMormons.com inviting fans to upload their own version of Archuleta’s song, “Glorious,” written by Stephanie Mabey, which is featured in “Meet the Mormons.” “You’ve heard my version of the song,” Archuleta said. “So now I would love to hear yours.” A free instrumental mp3 and lyrics to the song are available to assist in the recording. – Read more at Deseret News

Samantha Harris Is ‘Elated’ to Be Cancer-Free – Difficult doesn’t begin to describe the past six months for Samantha Harris. But now that she is officially cancer free, she can get back to work – for herself, and for others. “When I officially got past my second stage of reconstruction surgery, which was the third surgery I’d had this year, and I reached that six-week mark after surgery, that was when I got the all clear,” the former Dancing with the Stars and Entertainment Tonight host told PEOPLE Thursday.
