Idol Bits and Pieces: Idol Tour Performances on iTunes, Adam Lambert’s Top Secret Soundtrack, Carrie Underwood Hometown Honors and Paula Abdul is Not so Popular

Some noteworthy news that didn’t make it onto the front page:

Adam Lambert tells E Online that performances from the Idols’ summer concert tour will be made available on ITunes. Cool beans.

He tells E that he’s got a song on an upcoming soundtrack, but refuses to spill.   “It’s not my call to be the one making the announcement, ” Adam teases. But, we pretty much know what it is–the soundtrack for the disaster flick, 2012, set to be released this fall. Gossip diva Billy Masters reports that director Roland Emmerich is so impressed with Adam’s track, he may use it over the closing credits…

In the same E Online interview, Allison Iraheta talks about working on her upcoming album for 19R/Jive, set to be released this fall. She says Kevin Rudolf (“Let it Rock”) has been her fav collaborator so far. “…his energy is great, ” Allison gushes, ” and he’s just a great guy and has already done so much.”

Carrie Underwood will be inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.   She joins other inductees like Vince Gill, Toby Keith, Merle Haggard, Wanda Jackson, Hank Thompson, The All-American Rejects and David Gates.   The induction ceremony will take place on September 17 at the Muskogee Civic Center, where she’s also set to perform.   Rocky Frisco and Ramona Reed will be inducted alongside Carrie…

A recent Media IQ study found that Paula Abdul is the least popular judge on American Idol.   They found that viewers fast forward through her comments more often than those of Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi or Simon Cowell

And from the New York Daily News‘ Rush and Malloy comes this gossip, “One more reason Paula Abdul quit American Idol: She’s telling friends producers wouldn’t cover her hair, makeup and first-class air.”
