Jon Peter Lewis, a Cheyenne graduate and former American Idol contestant, to perform at Cheyenne Edge Fest – “As I’ve worked more and more in the business, I started to find myself and what resonated with me,” Lewis said. “By the time I went on The Voice, I knew the kind of music I wanted to make.” He said he intentionally tried to distance himself from his “American Idol” days. He noted these types of competitions aren’t the best for making someone a superstar, but they are great for publicity, for which he’s grateful.
