The Creative Arts Emmys take place tonight in Los Angeles. The MAJORITY of awards are handed out at this ceremony, while the rest are saved for the Primetime Emmys, set for next Sunday on FOX. Jon Peter Lewis, a Cheyenne graduate and former American Idol contestant, to perform at Cheyenne Edge Fest – “As I’ve worked more and more in the business, I started to find myself and what resonated with me,” Lewis said. “By the time I went on The Voice, I knew the kind of music I wanted to make.” He said he intentionally tried to distance himself from his “American Idol” days. He noted these types of competitions aren’t the best for making someone a superstar, but they are great for publicity, for which he’s grateful.
