‘American Idol’ Winner Laine Hardy to Make Festival Debut at KAABOO Del Mar – Two days after he turns 18, American Idol winner Laine Hardy will make his music festival debut on the large Grandview stage at the fifth annual KAABOO in Del Mar, Calif. at 3pm on Saturday (Sept. 14). Festival organizers reserved the slot months before the singing competition’s season 18 finale, ensuring the winner would be there. “It will be the first major festival I’ve had a chance to play,” Hardy tells Billboard. “I’m really excited to perform but I’m also looking forward to hanging out and watching several of the other bands.” Hardy joins an already stacked roster that includes Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, Mumford & Sons, Duran Duran, Maren Morris and OneRepublic.
