Carrie Underwood on Filming the Sunday Night Football Open – Carrie Underwood recently filmed a new opening for Sunday Night Football. She told the Los Angeles Times that filming is the easy part. She’s got to sing as many customized combinations of names, because the song is tweaked for the playoffs. “There are definitely dozens of them,” she said. “It’s a full day of singing everything you can think of. I do it now, because if I were to try to do that on tour it would be impossible.” Also, on the different theme flavors, dependent on the artist: The goal, said coordinating producer, Frank Gaudelli, is to put the song “in the wheelhouse of the artist.” He continued: “Pink was a rocker, we countrified it a little for Faith, and Carrie is a crossover between country and pop,” he said. “So this year it has a little more of a rock feel.” – Read more at The LA Times
