Q&A: David Archuleta talks songwriting, authenticity and Christmas – What has it been like to grow up with your fans? It’s pretty funny because at my shows now, a lot of the fans will be like, “I just graduated college,” or “I just got my masters” or they’re bringing their kids. They’re like, “I loved you when I was 15” and I’m like, “Oh my god.” Or like, “This is my 10-year-old dream coming true,” and they’re like entering college now. It’s just funny. I didn’t know that I wouldn’t have a career that would withstand that long — that people would grow up and still be coming to my shows like when they were little. It does make me feel kind of old, but it’s also really cool. A lot of them would be like, “I watched ‘American Idol’ in high school,” and I’m like, Oh, wait a second. I was in high school, too. So that means we’re the same age. – Read more at mndaily.com

David Archuleta tells us all about his Christmas tour – David will be touring throughout the United States until the day before Christmas Eve, where the final show will conclude back in Utah where the tour first began. Fans of all ages will be able to enjoy some of their favorite original holiday tracks covered by David Archuleta as well as his own songs and fan-favorites. According to David, these tours are his favorite due to how selfless and joyful they are. “I don’t have to sing what’s on my mind… I can just sing about praises and ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.’ I feel like the reason why they’re my favorite tours is that the music is not about yourself so much,” He explained. – Read more at UnitedbyPop.com

Ryan Tedder on the Secrets of Leading Pop Fans Into Songland – It did not occur to me until the night episode 1 aired that I was like, “Oh, oh, oh shit. This needs to do well!” I literally never thought about it one single time: “Oh my God! Nielsen is this company that rates TV shows. They’re gonna rate our show. Ohhh, crap!” I literally had a panic attack the night of the first episode, because I was like, “What if this just bombs?” It never occurred to me that it could. It never occurred to me that it could be a smash, either. I never even contemplated that we would be up for review. I don’t know why for some reason I never thought of it. And so, I’m beyond stoked now that it did what it did, and that we’re charging into season 2 now. – Read more at Variety.com

Same-Sex Couple Makes History, Wins Denmark’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ – Just a few weeks ago we were all bristling with excitement at the first same-sex dancing couple dominating the Danish version of Dancing With the Stars. Now we’re even more pleased to inform you that that couple, comedian Jakob Fauerby, 42, and his dancing partner Silas Holst, 36, are now the winners of the dancing competition! That’s right, the gays aren’t just appearing on every TV show — we’re winning them! When Fauerby, who is openly gay, was first approached to be on the show, he asked to be paired with a male dancer, something that hadn’t happened in 16 seasons of the Danish version of the show, called Vild med dans. As Out previously reported, the first-of-its-kind couple were a favorite of fans and the judges from the very beginning, getting the highest scores in four out of the show’s eight episodes this season. In the championship, they danced a paso doble that earned cheers and praises from the judges. – Read more at Out.com
