Maroon 5 Tour Dates in China Canceled: Report – Billboard is reporting that Maroon 5 tour dates in China that were scheduled for September 2015 have reportedly been called off, according to various news outlets. Time Out Beijing wrote the following about the band’s tour date in its city: “We hear musings about Maroon 5 being prevented from performing by our political friends up above.” Speculation is that a now deleted tweet from band member Jesse Carmichael read: “Happy Birthday America (and The Dalai Lama too) sang happy birthday to his holiness today,” followed by a link to an Instagram photo. Apparently, the band member attended an 80th birthday celebration for the spiritual leader. Other musicians have been restricted from touring in China due to connections to the Dalai Lama. Jax is back in Jersey with the ‘American Idol’ tour – Jax chats with her hometown paper about the American Idol Live tour. “Rehearsals were stressful ’cause Nick was not there until the very last day,” Jax said from the tour bus she shares with her “Idol” family. “He rehearsed earlier with the band, so we didn’t get any time to rehearse with Nick.
