American Idol season 16 winner Maddie Poppe announces new single
Ahead of appearing on the “Great Idol Reunion” on May 2 with a bunch of other alums, including her boyfriend/runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe will release a new single “One That Got Away.” The singer-songwriter won American Idol back in 2018, the first season on ABC.

Eurovision Canada Eyes 2023 Launch Following Deal Between ASC Inc. & Insight Productions – After launching American Song Contest on NBC this year, Eurovision eyes a 2023 premiere for a Canadian version of the iconic European brand. The Eurovision brand continues its North American expansion. Leading Canadian producer Insight Productions, a Boat Rocker company, has teamed with Eurovision Canada rights owners and ASC, Inc., one of the companies behind NBC’s music reality competition series American Song Contest, to debut the first-ever Eurovision Canada in 2023. Grace VanderWaal Returns to the Limelight in Hollywood Stargirl – PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the 18-year-old actress and singer’s return as Susan “Stargirl” Caraway in Disney+’s upcoming Hollywood Stargirl, a sequel to 2020’s Stargirl. An official synopsis for the movie says it “follows Stargirl’s journey out of Mica, Arizona, and into a bigger world of music, dreams and possibilities.” Aside from her return in the titular role, VanderWaal also performs an original song she wrote for the movie, titled “Figure It Out.”At 12 years old, Grace won America’s Got Talent season 11 as a singer-songwriter.
