Discoveries continue for MacKenzie Bourg – Bourg hopes for more cool discoveries when he hosts two hometown concerts at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10-11 at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in downtown Lafayette. Tickets for seats and standing room are on sale at the AcA box office. Bourg is looking forward to performing solo at home, with just his guitar and piano. “It’s going to be just me,” said Bourg. “At different times in my music career in the past four or five years, people connected the most when it was just me and the guitar. When I was on the show, they would say that. “I spoke to Harry (Connick) at the Louisiana Rising concert recently. After I performed, he said, ‘It’s always great when it’s just you and the guitar. They have a grand piano (at AcA) and I’m going to break that out for a few songs. Bourg continues to meet with record label executives interested in his music.
