Headlines: Katharine McPhee Crashes Wedding, Disses Bride

Katharine McPhee crashes wedding, disses bride after getting kicked out – TV star Katharine McPhee — who’s reportedly dating pop composer David Foster — accidentally crashed a weekend wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and was kicked out by the bride. McPhee was with a close pal, producer Hilary Shor — whose credits include “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” and “Children of Men.”
Shor posted their snarky commentary about the incident in a series of publicly available Instagram stories on her feed, calling the poor bride who denied them entry to her nuptials a “loser.” One video seen by Page Six and captioned “Bride Bitch” shows McPhee in her room snottily noting, “What bride does her own wedding security? If you’re doing your own security, you have a problem.” – Read more at Page Six

Danielle Bradbery Shows Her Maturity and Range on New Album – The first album was also more “straight-up country music,” she said. “I’ll always be country, but growing up, I had so many influences: I love R&B and all of that stuff, which is what you’ll see on this new album. It’s been really fun to do a little bit of everything. The whole album doesn’t sound the same and it’s more honest.” Her favorite cut is “Worth It,” which she’ll perform on “The Voice” tonight. She calls it “kind of an empowerment song that helps me speak up for myself in any situation, whether it’s a relationship, a job, anything.” – Read more at WWD

Q&A: ‘American Idol’ Kris Allen brings Christmas tour to DC’s Barracks Row – “If you don’t want to hear Christmas music, I would advise you not to come,” Allen joked on WTOP. “It’s very Christmasy, but I think in a different way than a lot of people do it. It’s more of a vintagey vibe [with] props. I found this old TV, this old radio and old other things and just propped the stage with that. I got really inspired listening to these old Christmas radio shows and the idea that families would sit around in a living room, turn on the radio and listen.” Expect to hear selections from Allen’s “Somethin’ About Christmas” album (2016), including the original title track, as well as classic favorites from “Jingle Bells” to “Winter Wonderland.” – Read more at WTOP

INTERVIEW: ‘American Idol’ winner Ruben Studdard enjoys a good Christmas tune – For Studdard, who is gearing up to release his eighth studio album in 2018, the concert tour is a chance for him to celebrate the music he loves best. “Well, this is I think about my fourth or fifth year doing The Colors of Christmas, and it’s been wonderful every year,” Studdard said in a recent phone interview. “And it’s just a great time. I think people definitely look forward to this time of year, and one of the things they look forward to is the music. And The Colors of Christmas is an opportunity for people to come and hear familiar Christmas songs that they love and like, and they get a chance to hear it from people that they love to hear sing, i.e. Peabo Bryson and me and countless others that have been a part of The Colors of Christmas over the years.” – Read more at Hollywood Soap Box
