Camp Meets Couture in Adam Lambert’s ‘Velvet’ – You barely have to make it 30 seconds into Adam Lambert’s music video for “Velvet” to understand what it’s all about. Playing the part of tailor in a get-up that’s equal parts Austin Powers and Liberace, Lambert works his way up the inseam of his model and quickly shoots a suggestive look back to the camera. It’s cute, it’s campy, it’s flamboyant, and Lambert wouldn’t have it any other way. – Read more at Paper Mag

Liam Payne on How the Industry Has Changed Since His One Direction Days: There’s ‘More Freedom’ – Promoting “Midnight,” his new collaboration with Alesso, the pop star reflected on how much the music industry has changed since the days of his boy band beginnings. “I think we’re all getting used to the way the music works now, and the way it is,” he told host Brooke Reese. “Because ever since my first stuff with the band, it’s been 10 years, it’s been nearly a decade since we started,” he continued. “And the way that music’s moved… Like we were saying the other day, when an artist used to release a song and it went bad, they’re like, ‘He’s over, he’s finished, he’s out.’ Now you just go, ‘Okay, it didn’t work.’ It just gives you a lot more freedom to make stuff.” – Read more at Billboard

She tells People:

“I cooked and had some stuff go bad in my refrigerator, so I took the trash out,” the 25-year-old tells PEOPLE. “It was raining and I had on these rubber slides. When I came back into the house and stepped on my hardwood, my feet flew out from underneath me.”

On her way back inside, Alaina grabbed a light that she’d accidentally left out on the porch in the rain. “I didn’t want it to get messed up,” she continues. “When I fell, I saved the light and my foot hit the brass leg of my couch. I protected the light and broke my own toes!”

Alaina and her manager then traveled to the hospital, protecting herself from the coronavirus by wearing a mask and gloves.

“That was scary,” the “Getting Good” singer says of going into the hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ryan Tedder talks new ‘Songland’, OneRepublic album delay: ‘Nobody can compete with the news’ – Guest judges like Kelsea Ballerini (“Better Luck Next Time”) and Black Eyed Peas (“Be Nice”) scored hits out of songs that came from “Songland.” OneRepublic has also found success with “Somebody to Love,” which started on the show and has more than 30 million streams on Spotify. Did you know that was “the one” the first time you heard it? A: That was undeniable. For me, we should’ve gone to radio and put all the engines behind it. That was a mistake on our part and I’ll own it. It just came down to timing: “Somebody to Love” is a bigger song than “Wanted,” which was already on our release schedule. By the time “Somebody to Love” came out, we couldn’t unpeel the onion of the other song. They were basically fighting each other for oxygen, which happens all the time now with streaming. It’s a sad but true thing, you can only put so much focus on any one song at a given point. – Read more at USAToday
