Headlines: GIrl Named To Open Pentatonix Holiday Tour

Girl Named Tom to open for Pentatonix Christmas Tour – “We are beyond delighted to join @ptxofficial on this year’s Christmas Tour! Way back to 2012, every time PTX put up a YouTube video, we would gather around our family’s Dell computer in absolute AWE of what we heard coming out of those speakers. To this day, they are a huge source of inspiration in harmonizing and arranging. This holiday season is going to be unforgettable!!! Join our mailing list for special access to pre-sale tickets.” Pentatonix won season 3 of The Sing-Off in 2011, while Girl Named Tom won The Voice season 21 last fall.

Jordin Sparks Reflects on Whitney Houston Friendship at ‘DWTS’ Premiere: ‘She Was So Supportive’ – “She started playing some amazing music, and somebody did this amazing run,” recalled Sparks. “I was like, ‘Wow, I wish I could do that.’ She looked at me and was like, ‘You can do that. You can do that. Don’t ever tell yourself that you can’t. Don’t let anybody tell you you can’t. Don’t let anybody else tell you you can’t.'” The Grammy nominee continued, “I’ve carried that with me through a lot of my performances, and she’s really impacted me in that way, to know that you can impact somebody’s life without knowing them for a very long time.” – Read more at People

Heartbreak-Induced Insomnia Inspired Chayce Beckham’s ‘Keeping Me Up All Night’ – Even through his sleep deprivation, the singer made his way into a writing session with his co-writers Andy Albert, Carly Barlowe and Geoff Warburton. They each reflected on their unique experiences and turned those different perspectives into this relatable song. “I remember throughout the writing process, I was so exhausted. I was dozing off and then I’d wake up and I’d be like, ‘that’s really cool,’ and jump back into it. It was just kinda a fun song to write,” Beckham honestly told Country Now. “I think everybody just kind of chipped in from their own personal experiences that they’ve had as far as like being left alone.” “It was fun getting to release a batch of songs and hopefully the next time I’d do that, it’ll be an album or something like that,” he explained. “I do wanna do singles for a while and just try to give all these songs as much attention as I can. Then, we’ll probably shift into hopefully putting out an album.” – Read more at Country Now
