Jessica Sanchez once auditioned for ‘Miss Saigon’ – MANILA — Now it can be told: Jessica Sanchez revealed that she once tried out for the Broadway production of “Miss Saigon.” Sanchez, who finished runner-up in the 11th season of “American Idol” in 2012, made the revelation on RX 93.1’s “The Morning Rush” on Friday, July 3. “It was difficult because my voice isn’t really a Broadway voice. So that’s what kinda challenging. I guess it will depend on what Broadway (show) I will be doing and then also I wasn’t really familiar with like acting and stuff like that,” Sanchez said. “I still have to learn a little bit of acting and then try to train my voice to be able to do a little bit more like a Broadway sound.
